Mental Health First Aid®

Mental Health First Aid® USA is an 8-hour training to teach participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it helps trainees identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance used disorders.

Youth Mental Health First Aid®

This training  gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Mental Health First Aid® Adults

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the

Mental Health First Aid® Public Safety

This  training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. It focuses on the unique experiences and needs of public safety personnel and is a valuable resource that can make a difference in their lives, their coworkers’ and families’ lives, and the communities they serve.

Delivery Methods

 

 

 

• Virtual. First Aiders will complete a
2-hour, self-paced online class, and
then participate in a 4-hour, Instructor-led videoconference.

• Blended Learning. After completing
a 2-hour, self-paced class, First Aiders
will participate in a 4-hour, in-person,
Instructor-led class.

• In-person. First Aiders will receive their
training as an 8-hour, Instructor-led, in person course.

 

*Training times does not include, breaks, lunch etc.
